CLUB INFORMATION

The Sunshine Coast Radio Sailing Club is a proactive group of individuals who love sailing and socialising with like minded people of all ages. We race four classes of Radio controlled yachts – International One Meters ( IOM ), RC Lasers, the Dragonforce DF65 and the Dragonflite DF95

We hold races 4 days a week –

Tuesday : Mornings 9.30am to 12pm ( Dragonforce DF65 ) Afternoons 1pm to 4pm ( IOMS ) Wednesday : Mornings 10am to 12pm ( Lasers ) Afternoons 1pm to 4pm ( Dragonflite DF95 ) Saturday : Mornings 9.30am to 12pm ( Dragonforce DF65 ) Afternoons 1pm to 4pm ( IOMS ) Sunday : Mornings 10am to 12pm ( Lasers ) Afternoons 1pm to 4pm ( Dragonflite DF95) We hold practice sessions on most Friday mornings 8.30am to 11.30am – this is open to all classes but mostly consists of DF65 & DF95’s. Our season generally runs 1st February to 30th November but most classes hold informal racing over December & January.

OUR LOCATION

We sail on Lake Kawana – Sportsman Parade, Bokarina – behind the Liberty servo. Although we sail competitively we have a lot of fun ! Come along and see the action …. if you decide to join us our members will be happy to show you the attributes of the IOM, Laser, DF65 & DF95 yachts and help you acquire a boat. All ages welcome, that includes Ladies of course.
